It improves the readability and structure of your sqlx code, helping with its maintainability.

Yes. Try with a non-trivial query (e.g. with case or between statements) and you'll see the difference

You can format:

• Google Cloud Dataform files written in SQLX format (including their config, js, ${ref(),... blocks}.
• SQL queries written in the BigQuery dialect.
